ITIN Financing

What is an ITIN Number?
While U.S. citizens typically use a Social Security Number (SSN) to file taxes, non-citizens working in the United States may not be eligible for an SSN. Instead, they can apply for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN), which is issued by the IRS. The great news is that individuals with an ITIN can still qualify for auto financing.
Reading Mitsubishi Supports Financing for Customers with ITINs
Reading Mitsubishi takes an inclusive approach to vehicle financing by supporting applications from individuals using an ITIN. This review process is part of our effort to help us serve more customers and provide flexible financing options.
Applicants who do not have a Social Security Number may still apply for new vehicle loans or leases through Reading Mitsubishi and our affiliated lending partners, subject to standard credit approval criteria.
In accordance with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, we evaluate all applications equally, including those from non-U.S. citizens and individuals with ITINs. Applicants may be required to submit additional documentation to support their application. Below is a sample list of documents that may be requested:
-
Proof of Income: Recent tax returns (Form 1040/1040A), W-2 forms, or bank statements
-
Proof of Residency: A copy of a lease agreement or property deed
-
Proof of Valid ITIN: A copy of the ITIN card or IRS-issued letter
-
Visa or Employment Authorization Document: If applicable
